Our suitcases evoke those first Japanese Skaters from 1980 who have managed to become a world power, based on the latest Olympic medals achieved in the last decade. Skateboarding has never been well received on the streets of Japan. But that hasn't stopped its growth. Unlike Californians, Japanese skaters tend to have an impeccable appearance and “are not punks.” And yet, the police are taking increasingly harsh measures and in many areas there are “no skating” signs.
